I'm a registered dietitian from South Africa and obtained my BSc in Dietetics from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012. My professional career has giving me the opportunity to work in diverse fields of nutrition incorporating therapeutic and community nutrition whilst working in a hospital, clinic and for a Non-Profit Organization.

I was brought up in the small coastal city Port Elizabeth (also know as the friendly/windy city) and this is where I started my community service as a dietitian which laid the foundation for my nutrition career.

I gained experience working for the Department of Health in areas such as:

  • Nutrition promotion, education and advocacy
  • Chronic diseases of lifestyle
  • Infant and young child feeding
  • Maternal nutrition
  • Promote, protect and support exclusive breastfeeding
  • Micronutrient malnutrition control
  • Community based outreach programmes

After relocating to Hong Kong in 2019, I decided to shift to online virtual consultations with a special interest in:

  • Lifestyle nutrition and weight management,
  • Individuals struggling with emotional eating who want to improve the relationship with food and their body.

About me

I’m a firm believer in living a healthy active lifestyle. When I’m not working you will find me at swimming training, swimming open water races in sea, or hiking the trails in Hong Kong with my husband.

Coming from a big family, mealtimes has always been about coming together, communicating, enjoying each other’s company and where family values are shared. I enjoy entertaining by preparing home cooked meals for family and friends and having conversations around the dinner table.

Lover of coffee, South African Rusks, fruit salad, being in the water, sunshine, and outdoors.
